Out of shape and still not training

Probably the biggest thing in my mind lately has been training. Of course there are other problems, like getting rid of the SuicideCow, not getting laid and living like a homeless bum, which actually describes me quite well. Thing with training is that current headquarters of the Platypus Korps is located at the beach. This offers an opportunity to do some basic training like chin-ups at North Bondi, but my main interest has always been training martial arts. Master Geoff Booth has welcomed me to train at his dojang, but from here to Moorebank is almost two hours trip with public transportation and it just don't feel really good idea, because for some reason they don't have showers there at the moment. (I could imagine better places to store extra mats, but everyone can choose their style..) And even if I am a beachbum, I still try to maintain some level of hygieny, because it makes me feel good. As things are, my mind wanders often to planning my training program of the future. It'll take at least six months to get back into a reasonable shape and a year to get my skills back to the peak. Positive side of things is that I haven't had any sport injuries after that unfortunate surfboard accident in December (or October?) so I am quite ready to start training again. Couple of times at Moorebank, it felt just great to do kicks and throws without any chronic pain in joints or back. It is quite clear soon is time to start training to be fit for the summer 2006. Joe
